Rain, cold, and wind blanketed the Augusta National on Saturday. It was the third day of The Masters Tournament and the course looked surreal. This is not the first time when it has been cold during The Masters, the weather was harsh back in 2007 as well. Amongst the pouring rain, what caught fans’ eyes were Mickelson’s sunglasses in the rain.

It rained cats and dogs on day 3 of The Masters and Augusta was cold and wet. Players were seen wearing rain gear, and winter hats. Players’ caddies were following the players around with umbrellas. What could have been so different with it, right?

It was how Mickelson looked while he wore his sunglasses. A picture was shared by Golf Digest on its Twitter handle and it definitely triggered the golf fans. 

As per fans, Phil Mickelson looked different, and well not in a good way! A fan thought that he looked like a “grim reaper”.

Again commenting on how he looks, yet another fan said, “He’s like Skeletor from He-Man”.

Another fan mentioned that he might be trying to hide his hangover, “Probably to hide his hungover eyes from the night at the Casino.”

Fans definitely like to share their opinion, “He wants no one to see his drug fueled eyes..”, commented another.

Another tweet said, “You can’t hiiiide you’re lyin eyes”.

One more fan took a shot at him and quickly commented, “He keeps them on so you can see his eyes dilated from all the CBD!”

Not all the fans were mean about Mickelson’s glasses. Some came to his rescue and were all good words for him. A fan commented, “Can you interrupt your ripping of Phil and write an article on golf? Maybe a story about a 52 yo having a nice run…be better”. 

Fans definitely know what a legend Mickelson is and they poured a lot of love into the post for him. Comments such as “Lefty” and “Legend” tell a similar story!
