The 87th Masters, currently underway in Augusta, has proved to be a shocker for fans. However, no group of fans is happier than the fanbase of LIV golfer, Brooks Koepka. Following a horrific knee injury and criticism over defection to LIV Golf, the player has seen his fortune turn at the 2023 Masters.

However, Koepka’s wife, Jena Sims, has been by his side throughout it all. Recently, Sims appeared in the first episode of “The Scoop with Claire Rogers” and made some big revelations about her husband.

The ongoing 2023 Masters is turning out to be a special one for 32-year-old Brooks Koepka.  However, he had a special run in with his now-wife at a previous tournament edition.

In 2015, Sims had gone to Augusta National to watch Koepka play, and their closeness even turned a few heads. The actress revealed that she was not even in a relationship with the player back then. “That night, this is crazy, I met his entire family. We weren’t even dating. That was our first interaction,” Sims revealed about her special meeting with the golfer.

She also talked about meeting all the important people in Koepka’s life on that fateful day. “He was like, ‘I would love to take you out to dinner.’ However, I am at home and Jonas Blixt is staying with him and his whole entire family, (and) Trey, his football coach.”

“I met all the important people in his life on our first date,” the 34-year-old beauty reminisced fondly. After dating for a few years, Brooks Koepka and Jena Sims announced their engagement in 2021. The couple tied the knot in the Turks and Caicos on June 4, 2022.

Despite heavy rains and play stoppages at Augusta this year, the four time major champion has steadily marched to a lead in the ongoing Masters. Koepka’s current form greatly contrasts his dismal outing in the 2022 Masters following his struggles with injury.

Brooks’ return to form at the 2023 Masters has been poetic. In addition to his injuries, the golfer has also suffered much criticism for his move to Saudi-backed LIV Golf.

Sunday at the Masters will be a test of endurance for the golfer. After being plagued by bad weather, the golfer holds a four-stroke advantage over Jon Rahm. Regarding the upcoming marathon finale, Koepka revealed that he is not too concerned about playing 29 holes on Sunday.
