Unhappy Justin Thomas Posts Cryptic Message After Distressing Masters Update

The Masters Tournament is the biggest celebration of golf. Fans love it, and the golfers aim to earn themselves the prestigious green jacket. But this storied event has much more to it, especially regarding the weather. And this year also saw the negative effects of the weather on the iconic Augusta National. It is a distressing situation, and the PGA Tour pro, Justin Thomas, made a cryptic comment via an Instagram post.

As a result of the bad weather, the officials had to suspend the second round at 4:22 p.m. ET on Friday. However, it didn’t come as a shock. Fans had been anticipating that, and the golfers were also expecting this all week. But the bad weather led to a scary incident. Trees fell over the fans due to the powerful air at the 17th hole of the tournament. It happened soon after the siren blew, alarming the weather change. Thankfully, there was no injury, but the flow of the game was altered, making Thomas speak his heart out. But, the problems did not end there as it was only the beginning.

The former world number-one golfer took to his Instagram for an unsettling update. He posted a distressed picture of himself and wrote, “When you’re checking out the weather forecast for the morning… long day ahead of us tomorrow! @themasters” He posted this after the weather shift during the Masters adversely affected the tournament. However, not to mention, LIV Golfers, especially Brooks Koepka, are doing great at the event currently. This is also another reason for Thomas’ distress, as a LIV golfer has surpassed the PGA Tour players.

The second round of the Tournament was also delayed from 3:07 p.m. ET to 3:28 p.m. ET, right in the middle of the ongoing round. The second round will now resume on Saturday at 8 a.m. ET, but the weather predictions are still unfavorable. Thomas is predicting that a long day is ahead for the golf community.

According to Augusta’s officials, the weather forecast states cloudy, cold, and windy conditions on Saturday, with a 100% chance of rain. Winds will be 15-20 mph, with possible gusts of 25-30 mph. An isolated thunderstorm is also expected before 8 a.m. ET.

Greg Norman earlier revealed the master plan of celebrating at the finishing hole of the Masters if any LIV Golfer wins the Tournament. Brooks Koepka agreed with him, and it seems he will make Norman’s wish come true. His first round had a great start with a little blimp of almost penalty for breaking the rule. But he recovered quickly and has been dominating the field, surpassing Rory McIlroy. Koepka added a 67 to day one’s 65 to lead on day two as well. Due to the LIV Golf and the PGA Tour rivalry, the fans never thought a defector could win Masters, but we never know. Koepka can turn the tables around.
