Why did Brooks Koepka and Dustin Johnson get into a fight?

Former world No. 1, Dustin Johnson, is currently playing in the LIV Golf league. Similarly, Brooks Koepka was also among the first few players to switch to the new Saudi-backed circuit. Everything is cool between the two as of today. However, there was a time when Koepka and Johnson almost broke into a fight during the 2018 Ryder Cup.

It was during the European team’s victory party when the two got into a heated argument with each other. Multiple eye-witnesses said that the situation almost went out of hand during their fight. Some even said that the players had to be forcefully separated during the party on Sunday night. However, Koepka’s representation of the story was very different from what others said.

Johnson and Koepka have been great friends for years. The two are workout buddies and often hit the gym together. However, a reporter who was covering the story of the fight said that the fans were “clearly shocked and upset by the nastiness, which was very threatening.” Although the real reason why Johnson was upset was not Koepka, according to a few sources. According to Koepka’s side of the story, there was no fight between the two. Moreover, he was the one who tried to help Johnson cool down and even took him for a late-night fresh air spin outside the party.
