Is a weather deja vu in store for the 2025 Sentry Tournament at Kapalua? Golf enthusiasts recall the 2024 tournament when strong winds disrupted play and posed difficult circumstances for the players. The 73rd edition of the event is scheduled to take place at the famous Plantation Course in Kapalua, Hawaii, from January 2 to January 5, 2025. According to Accuweather, recent forecasts indicate that the competition will be played in fairly pleasant conditions for participants as well as viewers. The Sentry’s morning and afternoon hours will be sunny and comfortable. Thursday’s first round is predicted to have largely sunny skies with highs of around 83°F (28°C) and lows of about 66°F (19°C). Winds, which can blow between 9 and 16 mph, might impact play, particularly on the Plantation Course’s more exposed holes.

Like Thursday, Friday is expected to have highs of 82°F (28°C) and lows of 67°F (19°C). Significant weather-related interruptions are less likely due to the expected lower winds, which range from 5 to 11 mph.
