The progress of Tiger Woods’ son, Charlie Woods, has kept everyone hooked on their screens. Still, only 13, his participation in golf tournaments has left fans to believe he could follow in his father’s footsteps. With Tiger out due to injuries and rehabilitation, Charlie is the closest to what fans can envision of Woods.

The youngster didn’t disappoint, displaying an eerily similar tee-shot routine, just like his father in a golf tournament in Coushatta.

Young Charlie is currently playing at the Notah Begay III Boys Jr Golf National Championship in Louisiana. As has been the norm in the past few months, Tiger Woods has broken away from his recuperation to join his son as a caddie.

The event is being played at the Koasati Pines at Coushatta, in Kinder. 13-year-old Charlie is participating in the Boys 12-13 category and was scheduled for a tee-off at 11.54 on Monday.

He eventually finished the day with a score of one over 72. Charlie was destined for a better finish, but a triple bogey on the par-5 18th hole crumpled up his chances of finishing under-par. At the end of the first day, Woods was tied at a decent 21st place.

Though injuries have significantly eliminated game time, Woods’ injury has helped him connect with his son on his golf ambitions. If all goes well, expect the father-son duo to tee up together at the next PNC Championship as well.

The Notah Begay III Boys Jr Golf National Championship will conclude after a three-day event on Wednesday.
