Long John is a popular name on the PGA Tour and the PGA Tour of Champions. Moreover, the professional has a rather smooth golf swing and enjoys a lavish lifestyle. Not to forget, Daly, even at the age of 55, hits the golf ball pretty far off the tee. He even has a PGA Tour of Champions win under his cap. However, this was not always the case.

In 2014, Daly spoke about his golf game and made an honest admission. He said, “I was young and dumb back in the 90s but I had a lot of fun. I didn’t think it would end. I kick myself in the a** every day for not trying a little harder or working on my game a little harder, I wish I had this mentality in the 90s.”

“I don’t think their practice schedule is that much different to what I had but there were plenty times when I could have hit a few more balls earlier in tournament weeks, like I do now, to prepare myself a little better.”  Long Johns’ words prove his honesty and his hunger to get better.
