The allowance has sparked a major show of disapproval from the fans. Walking on the same path, the exception has also prompted numerous pros to reveal their concerns. One such pro is Jon Rahm.

Rahm has been one of the front runners in criticizing PGA pros moving to LIV Golf. During the conversation, he opened up about his take on LIV players playing the BMW PGA Championship.

“What I don’t understand is some players that have never shown any interest in European Tour, have never shown any interest in playing this event, being given an opportunity just because they can get World Ranking points, and hopefully make Majors next year,” he said.

Spain is largely considered a country with a plethora of golfing talent. Going ahead in the conversation, the Spaniard further gave an example of a Spanish friend who, according to him, has been out of the entry list because of LIV golfer’s participation.

“A perfect example, a good friend of mine is the first one out on the entry list right now, Alfredo, a good friend of mine from Spain,” Rahm said. “Because you have players that, you know, might need World Ranking points are given an opportunity that I don’t really agree with, it really, to an extent – I don’t know what the word is.”

Rahm is just one player who has been critical of BMW Tour Championship’s decision. Walking on the same path, numerous other PGA pros have also expressed disapproval upon the participation of LIV Golf players.
