One of the most famous athletes of our times, Tiger Woods’ popularity surpasses boundaries. Indeed, while it’s a norm for golfers to have their websites, the 15-time major championship winner has a breathtaking database that has all the detailed metrics from his glorious career. But ahead of the Masters Tournament coming up, the site has been updated to reflect a major change.

Tiger Woods’ website undergoes an update

While the website gives an insight into Woods’ professional career, it also gives us a sneak peek into his schedule later in the season. No longer the old and healthy self, Woods is expected to contest in a limited number of PGA Tour events. However, fans expect him to tee up in the game’s most important tournaments, the four major championships.

The inaugural major of the season will be played next week at the iconic Augusta National Golf Club, where Woods is a five-time winner. The 47-year-old is keenly anticipated to play in the event, but if confirmation was needed at all, his website has given the green signal for his participation.

Indeed, the golfer’s network now displays the Masters at the Augusta National as his next tournament on the Schedule page. Interestingly, even though he’s expected to play in other major championships, no other event other than the Masters features on the page.

Expectedly, fans were quick to show their appreciation for Woods’ participation in the tournament. Comments such as “Oh let’s go !” and “This is the year Lfg” made the rounds on social media. Another fan commented, “DONT BOTHER ME April 6-9, I’m busy !!!

Fans want Woods to go all in for the Masters and one of them wrote, “Let’s go.. get that master again.” “BIG TIME“, was another fan’s comment. The frenzy behind the announcement was just another indication of the legendary golfer’s incredible fanbase.

Woods’ preparations ahead of the Masters

In the twilight of his professional career, the golf legend will be keen on getting his hands on another major championship. The Masters remains Woods’ favorite major, having won the Green Jacket five times. But he’s still three short of the ultimate record, chances of which look bleak with each passing day.

Ever since his freakish injury, Woods has made a steady return to playing on the tour. He has hand-picked events this season, with the Genesis Open being his only tournament since the start of the year.

But his zeal to win the Masters made him travel to Georgia a few weeks ago to play some practice rounds at the Augusta National. It’s a routine Woods often follows before the commencement of the prestigious tournament. But will it prove successful this time around?
