A rare achievement on his 200th start
Schauffele also became the first player since Dustin Johnson in 2016 to win on their 200th PGA TOUR start. Dustin achieved this feat with his U.S. Open triumph at Oakmont, known for its difficult setup and penal rough. But despite all the challenges, the 24-time PGA Tour winner finished at 4-under-par 276. He was three strokes ahead of the runner-ups Shane Lowry, Jim Furyk, and Scott Piercy.
After him, Xander has now won his 200th start on the PGA Tour at the Baycurrent Classic 2025. It has been nearly a decade since such a record was last made. With this win, he ended the title drought after the 2024 majors. Despite not winning any contests, Xander Schauffele has remained calm during this period, and it has now paid off.

Xander Schauffele’s incredible cut streak
Schauffele has now gone 72 events without missing a cut. Although the Baycurrent Classic 2025 was a no-cut event, Schauffele still made it to the finale weekend. The stretch started back at the 2022 Masters. It has been around 3.5 years since he missed a cut on the PGA Tour. To put that in context, the average cut streak on the PGA Tour is only around 4.
This stat is second only to the legendary Tiger Woods since the Official World Golf Ranking era. Woods has an impressive 142 consecutive events without missing a cut. However, if you consider the pre-OWGR era, there are a few more on the list. Byron Nelson tops that list with an impressive 113-streak.
All golfers with streaks of consecutive cuts longer than Schauffele’s are no longer active competitors, effectively ending their chances to challenge Woods’ record. Xander, however, can continue with his form and try to achieve the unthinkable. If he stays healthy and continues to play around 20 events annually and make cuts in all of them, he could get past Tiger in 2029.
If you remove the major championships, Xander Schauffele’s run is even more impressive. This run extends back to the Farmers Insurance Open in January 2020. Post that, Schauffele missed the cut only in the 2021 and 2022 Masters Tournaments. Following Xander closely is the World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, making it to a consecutive 64 cuts to the weekend.
Schauffele moves up in the PGA Tour list with record career win
Xander Schauffele’s victory at the Baycurrent Classic marked his 10th career PGA Tour title. This victory saw him end a year-long winless stretch. The win was especially meaningful as his family, including his 81-year-old grandmother, was in attendance
Reaching his 10th win made him the 119th golfer in PGA Tour history to reach double-digit wins. His previous best season with two major championships came in 2024. Now, with this win, he further cemented his status among golf’s most accomplished active players

Schauffele has now secured his 10th PGA Tour victory, which places him at tied 109th on the all-time PGA Tour wins list. Notably, he is now one of the most accomplished active players, bringing him closer to legendary rivals and top competitors like Phil Mickelson (45 wins) and Rory McIlroy (29 wins). Schauffele’s ongoing success continues to elevate his standing among the elite in golf.
Xander Schauffele’s Baycurrent Classic win ends a tough stretch and signals a new chapter in his career. With renewed confidence and momentum, he’s poised to challenge the top ranks and chase even greater milestones in the seasons ahead.
