Tiger Woods is affected by his seven-month-long hiatus. Yesterday, in The Bahamas, he addressed a comeback press conference and answered all the big questions that his fans and the media had longed for. He said that his game feels rusty since he hasn’t played in a while. But he is excited to compete, he added.

Given that he is coming back after more than half a year, here is a list of changes Tiger Woods has made.

What’s new with Tiger Woods this weekend?

Woods has every intention to fulfill all his promises by delivering a power-packed performance at the Hero World Challenge. And to serve this purpose, the legendary golfer has made a big change in his Driver. An old user of TaylorMade, Woods mostly uses their Stealth Plus driver.

But it is especially for the Hero World Challenge that he has changed his Driver to their TaylorMade Qi10 LS. It is a standard model, is forgiving, and features a big draw bias for a golfer who shoots strong strokes. Its loft comes in 8º, 9º and 10.5º.

Another big change that is allowing him to play is the fact that his leg has completely healed and he can walk freely now. At the presser on November 28, Tiger Woods said, “I’m not concerned at all about walking it. As I said, I don’t have any of the ankle pain that I had with the hardware that’s been placed in my foot, that’s all gone.”

He continued, “The other parts of my body, my knee hurts, my back. The forces go somewhere else. Just like when I had my back fused, the forces had to go somewhere. So, it’s up the chain.”

Woods’ caddie for Hero World Challenge is his friend and confidant

Supporting Woods on the grounds at The Bahamas is caddie Rob McNamara. After the 82X PGA Tour winner got injured, he let go of his old looper Joe LaCava. Now, Rob McNamara will be lending a helping hand this weekend. He is among Woods’ closest pals and also a business associate. The two have been friends since their junior golf days and the golfer referred to his friend in an interview as a “trusted second set of eyes.”

McNamara is also excited to assist Woods in his much-awaited comeback and is glad that he will be by his friend’s side. With these changes, Woods will kick-start the dual responsibilities of hosting and playing at the Hero World Challenge from November 30.
