No, the legends aren’t quite head-to-head against each other. Rather, it’s their teams clashing for the first time at the tail-end of the regular TGL season. Woods’ Jupiter Links is set to tee against Rory McIlroy‘s Boston Common Golf on March 1 at the SoFi Center, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Naturally, the fans won’t want to miss the action. That sentiment echoed when the TGL announced its greenside tickets, seats closest to the action, sold out for the match. The arena seats a total of 1500 people, with a generous amount of those being greenside ones. As is clear, the teams may clash months later, but the fans are already bracing for action.

The Jupiter Links includes golf veterans like Tiger Woods, Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner. On the other hand, Common Golf parades pros like Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley, Adam Scott, and Hideki Matsuyama. While the teams consist of four members, only 3 play during the matches. But the good news for fans is that Woods is likely to make a return here after a 15-month break from golf. The golfing phenom underwent two surgeries on his lower back and his Achilles tendon since his last appearance at The Open in July 2024. This adds intrigue and excitement to the March 1 showdown, with the tickets backing the narrative.

However, both star teams failed to find their footing in the first season, which ran from January 7 to March 4, 2025. While Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links failed to make the playoffs, Boston Common Golf was the worst performer among the six teams. The Links’ only win came against Common Golf, in an overtime setting, securing 2 points for the Links and 1 point for McIlroy’s team. That win came as a result of closest-to-pin contests by Tom Kim and Kevin Kisner.
Although the teams failed to reach the 4-team Semifinals, the event was never out of drama. In a spine-chilling moment last edition, Woods became the first golfer in the event to incur a shot-clock violation, by taking more than 40 seconds for a shot, resulting in a penalty. This added stakes and tension to the event, showing it for what it truly is. Needless to say, TGL is more than just golf played indoors, with actual challenges and a heated competition.
