The beginning of the Masters has already experienced a delay due to adverse weather conditions. However, because of this delay, the tee timings of golfers have been adversely affected and pushed further. This might create trouble for the players, but it creates the most trouble for the 15-time major champion, Tiger Woods! How? Well, continue reading to find out!

Given that Woods is now slated to tee off at 3:54 p.m. ET, he will need to play additional holes tomorrow to complete his second round since sunset is at 7:56 p.m. The sunset will make it impossible for the GOAT to finish his first round as designated. Taking that into account, he will nearly have to play 22–23 holes on Friday. The additional play could potentially cause discomfort for the American golfer in his back or legs.

With all the timing now adjusted and bad weather, Woods isn’t the only golfer impacted. The damp course will also pose challenges for other golfers competing at Augusta National, and how it will impact the game, will become evident in mere hours. Woods’s long-time friend, Notah Begay III also shared a few health concerns that Woods has been going through such as lack of mobility in his left ankle, and lower back challenges and it hinted that completing all four rounds will be tough for him.

If TW withdraws from the Masters, this year, it will mark the second time in a row that a golfer has withdrawn from the tournament after bad weather posed a challenge.

A similar situation arose at the 2023 Masters! The poor weather in the second round stretched the game, and the 48-year-old was compelled to withdraw following the second round.  It happened when his surgically repaired leg began to trouble him on the damp course. While making his way from the 16th green to the 17th tee during Round 2, the pro experienced a minor slip. As a result, by the beginning of the third round, he appeared overwhelmed with pain as his plantar fasciitis had aggravated and he was unable to proceed.
