The interviewer, Taylor Zarzour, asked Woods about how the challenge has changed his game physically. Zarzour also asked Woods how prepared he was to be competing in a grand event like the 150th Open.

Woods said“I’m not ever gonna play a full schedule ever again… That’s no longer my reality!”. Turns out that Tiger Woods has no plans to play in Major Championships anytime soon. “I have to pace myself”, Woods said. He also said that he needs to increase the time for his workout. He said, “I have to put in the work and time in the gym to get stronger,”.

Woods’ injury and its effect on his game

“I just don’t recover anywhere near like I used to,”  Woods said further in the interview after mentioning his plans for the future. Even in his post-match interview at the JP McManus Pro-Am, Tiger mentioned that he had some issues with his leg, so he couldn’t participate in the US Open.

People had a lot of questions when Woods used a cart to move between holes at the McManus Pro-Am. But Woods was honest about the condition of his leg and said that he didn’t want to push it for as long as possible. He preferred using the cart at the event but said he would walk wherever he could.

Woods also said that he would always play golf no matter what. “Whether it’s this leg or someone else’s leg or false leg or different body pieces that have been placed or fused, I’ll always be able to play,” said Woods.
