Tiger Woods is widely considered the greatest golfer of all time. He achieved this title by winning 100+ championships worldwide through his talent and hard work. The golfer has a perfect score in golf. However, such is not the case with his personal life.

In 2009, after his second child was born, the golf world got to know that the champion golfer had been in an accident near his home. According to police reports, Woods crashed into a fire hydrant and a tree shortly after he left the driveway of his house in Orlando. 

The sound of the accident made his ex-wife come to his aid, after which she crashed the car window with a golf club to get him out of the car. While many believed the news, some rumors stated at the time that Nordegren hit him with his 9-iron after she found out about his extra-marital relationships with other women. 

After the news spread, Woods released a statement confirming his infidelity rumors, making all the golf world wonder whether Nordegren hit Woods.

Did Elin Nordegren hurt her husband? 

“There was never any violence inside or outside our home,” Nordegren explained herself in an interview. Notably, she revealed her part in the story in 2010, a couple of days before the court finalized her and Woods’ divorce. “The speculation that I would have used a golf club to hit him is just truly ridiculous,” she added. 

According to the former Swedish model, she didn’t hurt her husband at the time intentionally. “I did everything I could to get him out of the locked car,” she explained. “To think anything else is absolutely wrong.”

Notably, many entertainment programs made skits based on the situation. As a matter of fact, the famous Saturday Night Live also created one skit about Nordegren and Woods. 

Is Tiger Woods engaged? 

After his divorce from Elin Nordegren, Woods dated several women before getting into a longtime relationship with Erica Herman. The couple has been together, at least since 2017, when he introduced her to the golf world as his girlfriend. 

Although neither the golfer nor Herman has confirmed the news, there have been rumors that Woods proposed to her recently. According to an insider source, Herman accepted the proposal, and the couple plans to get married soon.
