Tiger Woods’ first coach talked about the golfer’s success

Woods has been in the hall of fame for many years in the golf world. His humble nature might not give it away, but the 15-time major champion has seen tremendous success in his career. Although it was not the first time someone was appreciating the golf legend’s achievements, it was still a treat to hear Duran talk about Woods.

In his conversation during the episode, Duran explained how he had no idea how a little kid, who showed up one day for training, would turn out to be the “Tiger Woods”. “I never really had the thought that he was going to change the game,” Duran said. “I never thought I could see the future…he is really good…He beats everyone in his age group.”

But like every coach ever, Duran claimed that Woods was not “invincible” right after saying appreciative words about him. He said, “But he wasn’t invincible”, and added that Woods was better than everyone else he was playing with, and that too as a child. Duran said he didn’t know where Woods’ game would take him, but he knew that the player was “really good”.

Woods helped the PGA Tour make important decisions

Tiger Woods landed for an official PGA Tour meeting right after the beginning of the BMW Championship. According to sources, Woods was an essential part of the discussion while PGA officials discussed strategies to grow the tour. Woods also helped the tour to shortlist some players.
