Rachel Uchitel, ex-mistress of Tiger Woods, has been bombarded with hate comments over the years from golf fans for her involvement in the divorce of the golf icon. She once tried to fix her public image by agreeing to work on Celebrity Apprentice, a show hosted by Donald Trump. However, the hostess found a better offer elsewhere and decided to ditch Trump’s show.

Though her romance with Woods caught a lot of attention, Uchitel first encountered publicity when a photo of her holding a picture of her fiance who died during the September 11 attacks went viral. The photo was posted by New York Post and got instant attention globally.
After years of sympathy, Uchitel was suddenly turned into a villian by the fans and media after her relationship with a married Tiger Woods broke out. However, to fix her public image, she decided to take part in Vh1’s Celebrity Rehab.
Tiger Woods’ ex rejects Donald Trump’s offer
In 2010, Donald Trump was the host of a reality show called “The Apprentice”. During that same period, Rachel Uchitel was facing massive public scrutiny for her affair with Woods. She was flooded with offers to join television shows including the one from the Former U.S. President.

Donald Trump was one of the first people to reach out to Uchitel, offering her a spot on the “Celebrity Apprentice”. He called the hostess at 7 in the morning. Uchitel had a dinner meeting with Trump’s then-lawyer to discuss the show. She accepted the offer considering it would be a great opportunity to fix her image.

Rachel Uchitel said, “I thought Donald would be nice to me. I thought he’d think I was cunning and see I was smart. I don’t know.”However, during the same period, the executives of Vh1’s Celebrity Rehab had also been scouting her.
The show was hosted by popular American Media Personality Dr. Drew. At the time, the executives of the show were selecting the cast for its fourth season in 2010. They made an offer to Uchitel to join the show. Though first, she dismissed the idea of joining the show, Uchitel anyway decided to have breakfast with the host Drew Pinksy.
Within the first meeting, Rachel Uchitel felt an instant connection with Dr. Drew and decided to check into his Pasadena rehab that same night. She was reportedly paid a cheque of US$400,000 and decided to ditch Donald Trump’s offer which was 10 times less than what Dr. Drew’s show had offered.
