Tiger Woods is the face of golf today on and off social media. Anything that involves Tiger Woods, becomes trending among the golf community.

In a recent tweet by a Tiger Woods fan page, a picture surfaced where Tiger was letting a fan take a selfie with him. He was spotted in a Jr. tournament taking place in Florida.

Tiger Woods has been away from everyone’s eyes since PGA. This is his first appearance after the event.

Woods’ recent controversies

Woods has been in the news due to his brutal honesty about everything publicly, as well as his skills on the course. There was a lot of buzz about the 46-year-old’s reply to the comments made by Phil Mickelson.

Recently, when Phil Mickelson made some comments about the PGA Tour calling it “greedy”, Tiger stood in support of the Tour and said that Phil’s comments were ‘polarizing’.

“Phil has said some things that I think a lot of us who are committed to the tour and committed to the legacy of the tour, have pushed back against,” Woods said.

He added, “The viewpoints that Phil has made, with the tour and what the tour has meant to all of us, have been polarizing.”

All of this happened when the six-time major champion missed the Masters as well as the PGA for the first time in years, due to his comments about the PGA Tour. He was also found supporting the rival Saudi Backed LIV Golf Invitational Series, but not upfront.

Tiger Woods has been very clear and honest about his decisions related to golf and beyond. He was recently in rumors about playing in the LIV Golf Invitational Series. But his powerful statement during the time made sure everyone knew his stand.

“I have decided that I’m supporting the PGA Tour. That’s where my legacy is,” Woods stated.

Tiger was never in support of the LIV Golf Invitational Series and said that no tour gives money upfront, and it should be earned.

He said, “I understand different viewpoints, but I believe in legacies. There’s plenty of money out here. The TOUR is growing. But it’s just like any other sport. It’s like tennis. You have to go out there and earn it. You’ve got to go out there and play for it. We have opportunity to go ahead and do it. It’s just not guaranteed up front.”
