Golf fans love the father-son duo of Tiger Woods and Charlie Woods. Little Woods is walking in his father’s footsteps and grabbing attention with his golf skills. And he also inherited this love for golf, which was visible in his childhood. Former World no.1 once shared the interest Charlie had for golf with the world.

Woods never misses a chance to spend quality time with his kids. And he was doing the same in 2015 ahead of the Masters tournament, where the motto was to make memories that will last longer than life and to have fun with his kids and ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn.

Tiger Woods and his reaction when his kids started getting too involved in the sport

In 2015, Woods was on the first tee of the adjoining Par 3 course at the Augusta National. He birdied the second and fourth holes and was having fun. The atmosphere was relaxed, and his only motto was to enjoy and not win. This was because of a superstition that no golfer has won the Par 3 contest, followed by the Masters. So it was safe to say that he was assuring his Masters victory by losing the match.

The five-time green jacket winner was not alone on the course. He was accompanied by his Olympian ex-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn, and his adorable kids. Woods’ daughter handed him an iron, but he ended up hitting an okay shot. However, as Woods’ helper, Charlie gave him a fickle putter near the greens.

Woods’ kids were getting more involved in the game and they brought up golf more often. Charlie was already playing golf with his father, and Sam was like a coach. She used to point out mistakes. He said, “They started bringing it up. Charlie plays a little bit. Sam tells us when we mess up a little bit.”

Another instance of Charlie’s inclination towards golf is from September this year. The astounding performance of Charlie at the PNC Championship at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club left everyone amazed. The father-son duo grabbed the second position on 25 under par.

Charlie was the star of the tournament, and a golf writer tweeted, “Matt Kuchar on Charlie Woods: “I was afraid to give him knucks, just ‘cause I didn’t want to get him out of the zone! It was like a pitcher throwing a no-hitter.”

Charlie already walking in his father’s footsteps

Charlie Woods has already started making big names worry about their game. His performance at the 2021 PNC Championship left everyone awestruck. Even the former no.1 golfer, Jon Rahm, agreed that Charlie was a better golfer than him, at just 12.

Rahm seconded the fact that Charlie’s talents were way better than his at the same age. If his hard work continues, he will be the one playing and conquering big tournaments soon.
