Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were married for 6 years before they got divorced. Although they live apart from each other now, they are still a part of each other’s life. And the golf legend is nothing but proud of that. 

“It comes to two simple things.” Woods explained how he is still in a good relationship with his ex-wife on the US talk show ‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.’ 

“We have Sam and Charlie, and we love them so much,” Woods continued. “We are going to do whatever it takes to make that work.” 

Even though they got divorced, the golfer and his ex-wife thought best for their children and decided to co-parent. While it sounds easy, it is hard to make that choice. And that is why when Woods explained how he and his ex-wife want the best for their children, the studio audience cheered for him.  

Woods married Elin Nordegren back in 2004. Everything looked seamless in the golf legend’s family life for a while as the couple had two children from it. However, a scandal that broke out in 2009 took a bad turn in their married life. The couple later got divorced in 2010 and decided to co-parent their children.

Many couples co-parent their children. However, the difference between the Woods-Nordegren couple and other couples is their friendship. 

How did Tiger Woods and his ex-wife’s relationship evolve over the years? 

“She’s been one of my best friends,” Woods said about his current relationship with his ex-wife. He explained that they talk to each other about everything these days. He further added that he thinks they communicate better now that when they were together. Furthermore, she had accompanied Woods and their son Charlie for the PNC Championship, along with their daughter.

The golfer is dating Erica Herman, a former restaurant manager, while Elin is dating a former American football player Jordan Cameron. Lately, it has been revealed that Nordegren approves of Woods’ new partner, and she is happy for them. 

Woods and Elin co-parent their children ever since their divorce. They even developed a good friendship between both of them. Although their marriage ended up in divorce, the former couple lives happily with their respective partners.
