Tiger Woods seems to be a very spiritual man. This is proved by his love for his faith, Buddhism. Back in 2010, when he was going through a tough time in his life, the 15-time major championship spoke about his faith.

Elrick Woods, the 82-time PGA Tour winner, was going through a tough time due to controversies in his personal life. In 2010, Tiger spoke his heart out during a public apology, bringing his thoughts about his beliefs to light. One could see where his inspiration comes from, his mother, who also practices the same faith.

Woods said, “I like Buddhism because it’s a whole way of being and living. It’s based on discipline and respect and personal responsibility. I like Asian culture better than ours because of that. Buddhism teaches that a craving of things outside ourselves causes an unhappy and pointless search for security. “It teaches me to stop following every impulse and to learn restraint. Obviously, I lost track of what I was taught.”

He added, “I have a lot of work to do, and I intend to dedicate myself to doing it. Part of following this path for me is Buddhism, which my mother taught me at a young age.”

Tiger Woods’ lastest major victory

Tiger won his 15th major victory back in 2019. He won the 2019 Masters at Augusta in an emphatic fashion. Woods added yet another green jacket to his tally and finished the event with an overall score of 13-under-par, as a result, winning with a one-shot advantage. Moreover, he won a prize money share worth $2,070,000 and it was his first major win in almost 11 years. What a place to win again.
