Tiger Woods is very particular when it comes to training his son. He wants to make sure his son stays focused. Woods is known to be a very focused golfer, and he is known for his patience. Not many people can endure what Woods went through. However, his father’s mind tricks on him have been proven worthy.

Today the former number golfer has 15 major championships with five green jackets and 82 PGA tour win. He is in the Hall of Fame of golf and is the greatest of all-time golfers. Then why shouldn’t he use the same tricks to train his son? Perhaps people might disapprove of the mind games, but Woods will follow his heart as a father.
What did the late Earl Woods believe about his son Tiger Woods?
While fulfilling his host duties in the Bahamas for the Hero World Challenge, Tiger Woods talked to NBC’s Paul Azinger. He discussed the mind games that his father played on him to make him an outstanding golfer. His late father has indeed succeeded, and now it’s time for Charlie to shine with the help of his father and G.O.A.T. golfer. The pro throws distractions in the direction of his son to train him.
He wants to make his son mentally strong, so nothing and no one can enter his head. For now, Woods can distract him quickly, but he wants his son to be super focused as he was. Therefore, he plays mind tricks to make him a strong golfer. And it was not initiated by the golfer but by his late father. He believed that training the mind can take you to great heights. “That’s what my dad believed. You’ve got to be willing to take it,” said Woods.

Woods is walking in his father’s footsteps and training his son accordingly. And they reflected it in Charlie’s performance during the 2021 PNC championship. Even if the Woods duo could not win, the performance by Jr. Woods left everyone speechless.

What advice did Woods give his son?
After his near-fatal accident in 2021, Woods returned to the PNC Championship last year, and little charmer Charlie accompanied him. However, during his recovery, he saw his son’s cores, and they were very high. Woods could not believe that his son was getting such high scores. Therefore, he went to watch him play during practice.

He saw Charlie carding one wrong hole, and all his following shots were affected. The Jr. Woods was angry, carding a bad hole, and he lost focus. Woods, then, gave his son the best mental tip. “Son, I don’t care how mad you get. Your head could blow off for all I care, just as long as you’re 100 percent committed to the next shot.” He instructed his son to be focused and not get distracted easily. The commitment was necessary for being successful.
