The technological advancements in golf have been remarkable of late. From new hi-tech systems to reviewing rules and on-course decisions to advancing the use of VR in the sport, golf has come a long way from where it began. The PGA Tour has hopped on the tech trend as well. Last year, they announced a collaboration with TGL, a golf league created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s company, TMRW Sports. The TGL recently announced its seventh confirmed player, a PGA Tour pro who is also a US Open victor.

The TGL is a high-tech golf league. It will feature six teams of three players competing over 18 holes. The league has partnered with the PGA Tour, and all 18 of its members will be from the Tour itself. The twist in the league is that it is entirely virtual and will be played on a simulator.

Its season will stretch across 15 weeks, with events being played on Monday evenings. The TGL will follow a league format, with prizes and rewards for the winning players. The league will launch early in 2024, and many fans are excited about it. On the other hand, many fans have criticized the concept for its similarity to LIV Golf.
