They dominated on the course, and in return earned extraordinary fame and millions of dollars, keeping into account the endorsements, contracts, and prize money.

He retained his number one ranking for a whopping 683 weeks and has amassed records to his name.

Woods has appeared in the Forbes list of the highest-paid athletes and made $769,440,709 from 1996 to 2007. In 2009, he became the richest athlete in the world, according to Forbes, when he earned $1 billion. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his current estimated net worth is $800 million.

On the other hand, Jack Nicklaus is regarded as the greatest golfer of all time. A legend amongst his fans and current players alike, he is a retired American golfer who has won a record of 18 major championships. A lot of his earnings came from his many companies, one of them the Nicklaus Design Company.

In the list of highest-paid athletes by Forbes, his career earnings are $1.15 billion. According to Celebrity Net Worth, his current net worth is $400 million.

So, while Tiger Woods definitely has a higher net worth, it is imperative to keep in mind that the prime of Nicklaus’ career was in the 1960s and ’70s. A lot has changed in the years to come and we cannot compare the supremacy of the two.
