The PGA Tour member once recalled when a golf shot threatened the fearless side of his personality. He revealed the only moment in his life when the strong-willed Woods was intimidated by what was to come and was unsure of his game. Let’s find out what made the 15 times major championship winner scared.
The astounding admission of Tiger Woods
In 2016, Woods recalled the time in his childhood when he felt unnerved for the first time in golf. As an 11-year-old child, he was the happiest as he stood on the tee of a 290-yard par-four. But he saw his 12-year-old rival hit a fantastic shot driving the green at World Junior Championship. He said that was the most intimate moment on a golf course.
The same sense of intimidation and uncertainty surrounded five-times Green Jacket winner after his series of injuries in 2016. He was unsure if he was ready to play on the golf course. In a statement to the PGA Tour, he changed his heart and made a shocking admission; he said, “After a lot of soul-searching and honest reflection, I know that I am not yet ready to play on the PGA Tour or compete in Turkey.”

The former best golfer around the globe was very unhappy with his performance. Even though he was in good health and in better shape, he was sure that his game was not good. Due to injuries and lack of practice, his game was vulnerable, and Woods did not want to land on the golf course with a weak game. Its easy to imagine how hard that must have been for Woods to admit.

The series of uncertainties in Woods’ life
2016 was not the only time the former world No.1 felt like this. In 2014, he was unsure of his return to the golf course, even though he had two weeks of rest after the back spasms. His presence in Masters was uncertain, which made fans question Woods’ potential.
Because of persistent back injury, the 14-time Major champion, Woods, withdrew his name from the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. He had won eight times at the same, but his back injury led him to drop the series.
