Brooks Koepka is arguably one of the golf superstars. The 5x Major winner has won some of the biggest tournaments in the world, and he has earned millions of fans and dollars. Reflecting on his journey since turning professional and winning major victories, Koepka has ample reasons to take pride in memorable and rewarding years.  But it is the 2022-23 season, that just topped the chart for him! 

2023 was not just another year for him. It was a year that changed his life and brought him joy, success, and love. As the sun sets on the year, this might be the year that he will cherish the most in his career and his life. 

3. First time winning twice on thе LIV Golf

Koepka joined the Norman-led league in June 2022 and has been a regular contender on the LIV Golf. But, he did not win more than one event in his debut season: LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah. However, that changed in 2023, when he claimed two titlеs: LIV Golf Invitational Orlando and LIV Golf Invitational Jeddah.

The 33-year-old had five top-10 finishes and eight top-15 finishes, making him one of the most consistent performers in the league. He finished the season ranked third in the LIV Golf standings, behind only Talor Gooch and Cameron Smith.

2. First time in a long time—back to winning a major

The LIV Golfer is known for his dominance in the major championships. It was in 2019 when he won at the major event for the last time. After struggling, and trying for four years, his fate altered in 2023.

The former PGAT pro won the PGA Championship for the third time in his career, making it his career’s fifth major title. His stellar win also made him the first LIV golf player to win any major. Other than his win, he also performed well at the two other prestigious events. Koepka had a close call at the Masters, as he finished in the second position tied with Phil Mickelson. He added another top-20 finish at the U.S. Open, where he finished in the 17th spot.

1. Welcomed his first child with wife Jena Sims

The biggest reason why Koepka will consider 2023 the best year of his life is not related to golf but to his personal life. On July 27, he and his wife, Jena Sims, welcomed their first child, their son named ‘Crew Sims Koepka’. The couple announced the news on their social media accounts, sharing adorable photos of their baby boy. While sharing the good news, he simply wrote,I love my crew.”.
