The first 18 holes of the TOUR Championship have ended. And after a 10-under staggered start, the world no. 1 has taken the clubhouse lead at East Lake Golf Club. Last week, Scottie Scheffler was not in his best form as he finished T33, but the Atlanta Greens have favored the 27-year-old as he posted 16 under 65 in the first round.

He was followed by Collin Morikawa’s 9 under 66 at T2, who started at 4 under. The two pros will start their Friday round at 2:00 p.m. EST, being the last to tee up. But where is the world no. 2? Xander Schauffele is in a two-way tie with Morikawa; although he started with 8 under a staggered start, the reason might be the fatigue that Schauffele felt at East Lake. The 2-time major winner will tee up with BMW Championship’s runner-up, Adam Scott, at 1:49 p.m. EST.
The BMW Championship winner, Keegan Bradley, is not outside the top position either after the opening round. The 2025 Ryder Cup captain has been playing well enough at East Lake for a T4 finish as he carded 8 under 69. Bradley has been paired with the playoff’s first event winner, Hideki Matsuyama. The two will start their second round at 1:27 p.m. EST.

How to watch the TOUR Championship’s second round?
Unlike all the other PGA Tour events where the field is usually larger and the rounds start early in the morning, at the TOUR Championship, it is quite the opposite. As seen, because of the limited field, the first group will start the Friday round at 11:16 p.m. EST, while the PGA Tour Live on ESPN+ will start the streaming of the second round at 11:15 p.m. and run it through till 1:00 p.m. on the main feed.
ESPN+ will also livestream the three featured groups of Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and Byeong Hun An and Viktor Hovland, and Robert MacIntyre till 6:00 p.m. The fans can also tune into the Golf Channel from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. for the broadcast of the 2024 TOUR Championship.

Or they can listen to the on-site commentary on the PGATOUR.com/liveaudio or the SiriusXM PGA Tour radio from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Will the 29 pros at East Lake GC be able to take away Scheffler’s lead after round 2 or will the world no. 1 remain the leader? It remains to be seen.
