The unique format of the Dubai Invitational
The first event of the European Tour in 2024 will be heading to the Dubai Creek Resort, which previously hosted the Dubai Desert Classic (1999 and 2000). The vent will have the top 60 DP World Tour players teeing it up on January 10. The final day, January 14, will see the crowning of the winner of the Dubai Invitational.
The event will have a stroke play and a team Pro-Am played concurrently with 60 pros and 60 amateurs. The individual matches will not have a cut, whereas the team events will have one. The event has some of the best golfers, like world number two Rory McIlroy, three-time DP World Tour winner Nicolai Hojgaard, Tommy Fleetwood, four-time DPWT winner Adrion Meronk, and even the Ryder Cup captain, Luke Donald.
The 60 players will be playing the individual event for four days. The winner from the individual play will get 3,000 points for the Race to Dubai rankings, 20.1 points for OWGR, and $425,000 from the $2.5 million prize purse. Moreover, the international Swing winner will also get a bonus $200,000 check.

So, doubling the fun, the invitational also differed from other events as it had no burden on the fans’ pockets. The ticket to the Dubai Invitational is absolutely free, and everyone can enter the arena. However, the catch is that the tickets need to be booked via the website before heading to the Creek Resort.
