The PGA Tour Policy Board is a crucial part of the Tour. The board establishes and reviews the policies and rules that govern the American Tour. The rules and policies pertaining to matters related to eligibility, player conduct, anti-doping regulations, prize money distribution, and tournament scheduling are formalized. With the fluctuations in the golf world, ever since the introduction of LIV Golf, the importance of the PGA Tour Policy Board increased manifolds. More so, after the merger with the PIF was announced.
In such situations, the directors of the Board plays a vital role. On the board, as of now there are a total of 11 directors, 5 of which are the Independent Directors and other six are the Player Directors who assist in the smooth functioning of the PGA Tour are. The list of 5 Independent Directors is as follows:

Jordan Spieth took Rory McIlroy’s spot as the Player Director when the latter abruptly withdrew last year. The GOAT, Tiger Woods became the sixth and final Player Director in August last year, after months of being silence on the PIF-PGA Tour merger. The entire list of Player Directors with their tenure is as follows:

- Adam Scott: Term: 2024-2026
- Tiger Woods: The 15x major champion has not been assigned a term yet since his sudden appointment as the Player Director, which could be somewhat related to the anger and dissatisfaction that fans had pointed towards the Tour after the $3 billion merger announcement.
One crucial part of the board is the Players Advisory Council, which helps bridge the gap between the players and the Tour. The members of the PAC comprise the professionals on the Tour, and they voice their opinions to the commissioner, Jay Monahan, and the members of the Board of Directors to influence the decision-making processes within the PGA Tour. In a nutshell, PAC aims to provide fairness and transparency to grow golf and the Tour.

The 2024 Players Advisory Council is chaired by Camilo Villegas. He will also replace Spieth as the sixth Player Director on the Policy Board on January 1, 2025.
