The Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club is set to see some power-packed action this weekend. With the PGA Tour’s Florida Swing coming to an end at the Valspar Championship, intrigue is justifiable on the fan’s end about its intricacies. A lot is at stake in this 156-player field in addition to the $8.4 million prize purse.

10 of the world’s top 30 OWGR golfers are competing to bookend the Florida Swing and might be looking forward to bumping their spot in the world ranking. The OWGR projections for the 12th week seem to be leaning toward the Valspar Championship as compared to the DPWT’s Porsche Singapore Classic.

With a field rating of 292.50261, the winner and the runner-up stand a chance to gain 50.5 to 54.5 and 30.18499 OWGR points, respectively, at the iconic Copperhead Course. The event is expected to have a drastic impact on the top 10 spots in the world ranking.

While there will be no change in the ranking of the top 2 golfers, Xander Schauffele could reach the 3rd position from his current 5th position. Adding his glorious name to the list of golfers who could change their OWGR is Brian Harman. The golfer could move to the 7th position worldwide from his present 8th.

Keegan Bradley, Sam Burns, and Jordan Spieth have shot to reach the 8th spot in the ranking. In addition to this, Cameron Young, who is currently placed in 23rd place, can take a very big leap and land in 10th place.

The prospects are beaming with opportunity at the star-studded field in Palm Harbor, Florida. Luck coupled with skillful performance from March 21st to 24th could work in favor of the top talents in the field. However, the world no. 1 position in the OWGR seems to remain untouched.

Scottie Scheffler is planning to stay put despite the changes the Valspar Championship has to offer.

One thing that the upcoming PGA Tour event has to offer is an array of changes. Interestingly enough, Scottie Scheffler’s claim to the throne of the OWGR remains undeterred, with a total of 543.20970 points currently on his side.
