Not to forget, the first time when Sorenstam played in a PGA Tour event was back in 2003 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Notably, it was the first time in 58 years for a woman to appear in a PGA Tour event. And boy was it memorable! The 72-time LPGA Champion made her appearance at the tournament worth every second. Numerous fans and media associations gathered to see the lady in action as Sorenstam effortlessly impressed everyone around with her unmatchable swings!

Believe it or not, it has been twenty years since the golf ace created history. However, she is now back to make it happen once again. And she recently shared a huge update about the same on Instagram. As seen in her latest post, Sorenstam shared a beautiful invite for the Executive Women’s Day event on the 20th anniversary of the memorable Charles Schwab Challenge.

The invite contained heartwarming details about how Sorenstam has managed to ace every field she has ever entered, including golf as well as the ANNIKA Foundation, “which hosts tournaments for girls in over 60 countries”. Sharing the spectacular invite, Sorenstam wrote, “Excited to be back! @charles_schwab_challenge 20 years anniversary.” Well, more than her, it would be an honor for the organization to have her present on the course, even after 20 long years!

While most professionals wish to continue with their careers as long as they physically can, Annika Sorenstam decided to step off the field for a rather unique reason. As per reports, the golfer wanted to start her family and focus on building her own business when she announced her retirement. However, despite making the announcement in 2008, she ended up winning two LPGA tournaments and made a T7 finish at her final event in December on the European tour.
