The Amundi Evian Championship, established in 1994, didn’t have major status until 2013. But the Evian Resort Golf Club, which was hosting the tournament, propagated and advertised its name that year. Since then, it has been considered a major, and it is held in France. Now that it has become a major, all the amazing golfers from around the world have come to participate. And this year, it has a hefty price pool of $6.5 million, the same as the previous year.
