In the world of professional golf, the autumn season brings a different kind of excitement, one that promises to transcend borders and captivate fans on a global scale. The PGA TOUR has once again not disappointed and brought out a phenomenal field of 78 players to Japan, who will be playing the Zozo Championship 2023 with no cut at play for a purse of $8.5 Million!

The field has 16 of the world’s top 50 participating. When the field is so great, the event ought to be an entertaining one. This event promises to captivate audiences and keep them on the edge of their seats as the biggest stalwarts from the golfing world show their prowess on the green.

Top players at the Zozo Championship 2023

Top players from the tour are playing along with some players who have been playing phenomenal golf at every event. The list of these players is long, but the top five players that will have all eyes on them are listed below.

Keegan Bradley is the defending champion for this event. Last year he stole the show with his impressive performance and he comes to the event with the intention of giving another groundbreaking performance. The 2023 Travellers Championship winner missed the Ryder Cup squad but has been in exceptional form otherwise.

He recently finished tied ninth at the Tour Championship with a score of 10 under par and his performance at the Zozo Championship 2023 will certainly be something to look forward to.

Rickie Fowler

Fowler has made a wonderful comeback this year by winning the Rocket Mortgage Classic with a score of 24 under par. His game has been on point since then and he’s not lost form or missed any cuts. His performance at the Ryder Cup was also commendable.

This year, he has had seven top 10 finishes on the tour as well as serval top 20 finishes. He definitely has a good shot at the Zozo Championship and will make for a strong contender going into the event.

Collin Morikawa

Collin Morikawa will make his first appearance at an event since the end of the Ryder Cup, which ended in a defeat for the USA but a win for Morikawa on a personal level. In 2019, he started his professional journey by making 22 cuts, which requires great skill.

His passion for the sport and his hard work led him to five titles on the PGA Tour, including a major win at the 2020 PGA Championship. He has been very consistent in carrying forward his form. His recent scores are a reflection of his consistency; he was tied for second in the Rocket Mortgage Classic and tied for sixth in the recent Tour Championship.

Xander Schauffele

Schauffele’s impressive record over the past two years includes an Olympic gold medal in Japan and several other feats. He played a monumental role in the Ryder Cup and the President’s Cup. Since this year’s Rome adventure, this will be his first appearance. He also tied for 2nd at the recent Tour Championship and has played some impressive golf with ten top-10 finishes this season. How he’ll perform on fairways at Narashino Country Club remains to be seen!

Min Woo Lee

In the 2022-23 PGA TOUR and DP World Tournaments, Min Woo Lee displayed a mix of strong performances. He made a mark with a T5 finish at the U.S. Open, a T9 at the Travelers Championship, and a T18 at the PGA Championship.

However, he faced missed cuts in several tournaments, including the Masters and RBC Heritage. In DP World Tournaments, he demonstrated consistency with a T4 at the Fortinet Australian PGA Championship along with a T2 at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship and a T3 at the ISPS Handa Australian Open. While Min Woo Lee’s season had its ups and downs, his talent and potential continue to shine on the golf course.
