After an incredible start to the season, Jon Rahm continued his run of top form with a win at the 87th edition of the Masters. While his constant impressive performances may have won the hearts of the golf world, his team behind the scenes has also played a key role in his recent success. One prominent person in his supportive team has been his long-time caddie, Adam Hayes. While other golfers usually give the caddie around 10 percent of their on-course earnings, Rahm once gifted Hayes a pricey gift.

Rahm and Hayes joined forces back in 2016, the same year when the golfer turned pro. While the Spaniard may have been new to the professional circuit, Hayes had been a veteran on the PGA Tour, as some of his former clients included legends like Webb Simpson, Russell Henley, and Jason Dufner, to name a few.

Nonetheless, it didn’t take the caddie long before helping Rahm rise through the ranks. Under Adam Hayes’ guidance, Rahm won his first Major at the 2021 US Open. While the win itself may have made the caddie proud, Jon decided to gift Adam a luxurious item worth $18,000.

What gift did Rahm give to his caddie?

In a span of a short time from his debut, Jon Rahm managed to grasp a win each year from 2017 in the PGA Tour. However, the Spaniard’s big win came when he won his maiden Major. Following his US Open win in 2021, the current world number one won $2.25 million in prize money.

With one of the biggest cheques of his career, Rahm decided to spend some of it on a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master, which is priced at $18,000, as per Luxuriouswatchesusa.com. However, Rahm didn’t make the expensive purchase for himself. Instead, he bought the Rolex as a thank-you gift for his caddie, Adam Hayes.

Moreover, on the case back of the watch, the words ‘2021 U.S. Open Champions’ were engraved. Nonetheless, Jon Rahm won’t struggle much while gifting his loved ones with a Rolex, as the golfer has signed an endorsement deal with the Swiss luxury watch manufacturer.

For the past few years, the Masters winner’s purse has ballooned. Last year, Scottie Scheffler bagged home an exorbitant $2.27 million. However, for the 2023 Masters, the winning amount was increased by nearly half a million.

Following his 4-stroke win at the Augusta National, Jon Rahm reportedly earned $3.24 million. While he considered giving Adam Hayes a Rolex after his US Open win, will the Spaniard gift another pricey item following his Green Jacket? With a bigger cheque in hand, this time for Rahmbo and an already-existent Rolex sponsorship, Hayes might as well enjoy another edition of the Rolex.
