Matt Fitzpatrick is an English Professional Golfer who won the U.S. Amateur title in 2013. But that was not all for the golfer at the Country Club. The 27-year-old golfer won the 2022 U.S. Open title on the same course on Sunday.

The match took many interesting turns and became a three-way encounter for the player. Fitzpatrick played a clean shot at the 15th hole, keeping things in control, followed by a fairway bunker on the 18th hole.

On his approach to the 72nd hole, the golfer said, “If there was one shot that I’ve struggled with this year that I just do not want, it’s a fairway bunker shot.”

The final round has proven to be a turning point in the golfer’s career. It was a proud moment for all the Fitzpatrick fans when he received a gold medal around his neck, along with $3.15 million in the bank. The player also gave a fun message to Jack Nicklaus by slightly lifting the trophy and saying, “Jack, I won a second time.” This has been one of the few games Fitzpatrick played on American soil, yet the world will remember it for a long time.
