Wild’ side of the golfer when he’s partying. Today we look back at the 2013 Met Gala after-party, that got Woods so drunk that it required his then-girlfriend, Lindsey Vonn to assist him to walk.

Tiger Woods is not shy of parties. The 46-year-old has 82 professional wins, which also include his 15 Major titles. The number depicts his greatness in the sport, however, it also showcases the number of times he must have celebrated his wins.

Back in 2013, Woods was invited to the annual Met Gala event in New York, where he took his girlfriend at the time, Lindsey Vonn, an Olympic Gold Medalist, with him. Though he was a class act at the event, it was the after-party in The Standard Hotel where things happen to go a little wild.

Tiger Woods embarrassed his ex-Girlfriend

Met Gala is an annual fundraising gala event held in New York City. Celebrities from many domains are invited to make their presence known. Being considered the face of golf for nearly two decades, Woods also was invited to the event back in 2013.

After attending the star-studded event, Tiger and Vonn then went to the Boom Boom Room at the top of The Standard Hotel, where the after-party of the event was taking place. During the initial hours, the 15-time Major winner “looked uncomfortablesaid an onlooker at the party. The couple enjoyed the New York night skyline while getting a little cozy with each other.

However, later, Tiger got himself on the dance floor, putting on a show for his fellow friends. Many sources even revealed that the drunk behavior of the golfer left Lindsey Vonn embarrassed and upset. To make things worse,  Woods tumbled up a flight of stairs. Fortunately, for him, Vonn was there to hold on to her then-beau.

The “Wild” night ended for the couple when they decided to exit the party at 2 am. After a hard party night, Tiger Woods was prepping for his way back to Florida, since The Players Championship was commencing in less than a week. Considering how drunk he was, will he be able to compete?

Tiger party hards, but also plays hard

Less than a week later after a party worth remembering, Woods was set to compete at the 2013 Players Championship at the TPC Sawgrass. The back-to-business mindset of Woods was truly commendable, as he won the tournament with a 13-under.

It was only his second Players Championship win, and first since 2001. With the win, the Hall of Famer earned $1,710,000 as prize money. Undoubtedly, this is truly the depiction of the famous term, “Work Hard, Play Hard”.
