‘I Don’t Plan on Addressing This Further’: When Lindsey Vonn Broke a Terribly Kept Secret About Tiger Woods

Apart from his number of achievements in golf, Tiger Woods also had several love interests throughout his personal life. However, the relationship with Lindsey Vonn stands out from the rest. The couple had a strong two years of togetherness before their breakup. Throwback to 2013, when the Olympic Skier publicly confirmed her relationship with the 15-time Major winner.

In 2013, both Woods and Vonn had undergone divorce from their respective spouses. Tiger divorced his wife of six years, Elin Nordegren, in 2010. Following the settlement of the separation, though Woods was linked to dating some of the women, none were publicly confirmed by the golfer.

However, Tiger and Lindsey had been friends for quite some time. The rumors about the sporting couple began to swirl around, deeming their friendship. Nonetheless, with a Facebook post, both Woods and Vonn announced the start of their new relationship.

During the 2013 PGA Tour season, fans were witnessing the return of Tiger’s form in the sport. He had already bagged two wins in the Tour to his name before announcing the beginning of the new relationship. Many fans gave credit to his love interest, Vonn, for his rise in form.

Woods confirmed the relationship on Facebook with a post, asking for support and privacy from the fans. However, later, the Olympic Gold Medalist also shared the news on her Facebook page with a heartfelt message. “I guess it wasn’t a well-kept secret but yes, I am dating Tiger Woods”, said Lindsey Vonn.

She further wrote about how their friendship turned into a relationship. Vonn wrote, “Our relationship evolved from a friendship into something more over these past few months and it has made me very happy”. The 38-year-old Skier then thanked her fans and family and asked to support their relationship while maintaining her privacy with Tiger Woods.

From thereon, Woods and Vonn made several public appearances together. The Olympic Gold Medalist could be seen supporting her beau in golf events, while Tiger went to support Vonn during her Women’s World Cup Downhill in France. However, the power couple broke up in 2015.

Tiger is currently dating Erica Herman since 2017, while Lindsey Vonn has been in a relationship with business tycoon Diego Osorio. Despite this, Tiger and Vonn have still maintained their friendship. Moreover, they also share a high amount of respect for each other.
