The 2023 RBC Canadian Open concluded on Sunday but not without some on- and off-course action. The greens witnessed some iconic drives as Nick Taylor was crowned the winner. Not only this, he became the first Canadian man to grab that title on his home soil since Pat Fletcher in 1954.

Taylor’s victory came in style when he shot the golf ball with an amazing 72-foot eagle putt to deliver a defeat to Tommy Fleetwood. Naturally, such a surreal victory deserves an even more striking celebration. Imitating these exact thoughts, another PGA Tour Pro took on the field to just drop-ship the same. Alas! He was met with a tackling mistake and a bundle of laughs. One of the prime interpreters for this situation was none other than his wife!

As soon as the golf world noted the historical triumph of Nick Taylor, another post-win action seized their attention quickly. The star of this venture was none other than another Canadian native. Adam Hadwin, the PGA Tour pro who couldn’t contain his happiness on the victory of a fellow Abbotsford golfer, rushed to the fields at Oakdale Golf & Country Club.

Unfortunately, his joy was shortly tackled by a security guard as a result of a misunderstanding. As per golf digest, the PGA professional was erroneously taken for a fan who was trying to reach his icon. The guard was clueless about Hadwin being a fellow golfer and a friend to the winner. It took no time for the video of Adam Hadwin flattened in a classical rugby style to the ground to get viral. More so, his wife, Jessica Hadwin was one of the many people to comment on it.

Sometime after the incident got handled quickly by the on-ground staff, Jessica Hadwin took to Twitter to update regarding the same. Her comment was definitely peak humor. Hadwin started off on a lighter but witty note as she informed the fans that she was getting “the toddler ready for bed” which resulted in the delay. She continued, “I’m thrilled to report that @ahadwingolf is still among the land of the living and in true Canadian form, apologized to the security guard for being tackled.

And that received great hoots from the fans who definitely agreed with her. According to Mrs Hadwin, her husband like a true Canadian couldn’t let another man apologise for what he believed to be his mistake. Consequently, what was a misunderstanding on the security’s part, received an apologetic gesture from Adam Hadwin.

Fans agree with Mrs. Hadwin’s comment about her husband

Not only did Adam Hadwin’s wife Jessica Hadwin find her husband’s gesture to be associated with his roots, but fans accorded to the same. One comment, in particular, called the post-tackle gesture “Very Canadian of him“. Others chimed in on similar lines:

The comment section would have been incomplete without any praise for Mrs. Haldwin’s top-tier humor. Thus, fans did not disappoint in delivering the same as they remarked-

A couple of viewers couldn’t help but question the Canadian’s overall dress. According to them, it was the appearance to be blamed for the misunderstanding-

Fans’ comments on Jessica’s humor complimented the comment section. Similarly, their touch on this bizarre occurrence on the greens through funny remarks completely also filled the vibe of the same.
