Multiple LIV Golf Players are teeing it up this week at the 2022 BMW PGA Championship and have received severe backlash for doing the same. Considering how these players moved to LIV Golf on the note to save more time for their family as well as earn more money, their comeback to the BMW PGA Championship this year doesn’t sit right with many people.
Moreover, one of the PGA Tour’s patriots and a former world number one, recently, also talked about the same and took a dig at the rival league’s players.

The 35-year-old former world no. 1, who called out the defectors, has been in the news for his distinction between the two tours once before as well. He has expressed his views bluntly over the past and has not hesitated to call out players who back-stepped on their former words.
Many pro golfers playing for the PGA Tour have openly passed remarks about former LIV defectors wanting to come back to the game. It was none other than Billy Horschel. Billy has won many accolades in the world of golf. His name surmounts the walls that shape the world of golf. However, he thinks that it is hypocritical of the defectors to want to make a comeback on the Tour.
He said, “The guys that have publicly stated they want to play less, those are the hypocrites. It’s not every one of them. And there are a few of those hypocrites here this week because they wanted to play less but they are playing another event that’s not a LIV event.”

Billy Horschel on if LIV defectors win
Billy Horschel is clear on his stance on LIV Golf. He was one of the players who chose to stick to the PGA Tour. The player was openly seen asking the defectors, “Why are you here?”
He displayed a critical character towards players from LIV Golf. Although he did make sure to clarify his feeling in case they won. He said, “I will congratulate them and say “well played.” I’m not a sore loser at all. But let’s just say, it wouldn’t help [if a LIV member won] the situation we’re in right now.”
