John Daly is renowned in the golf world for his antics on and off the course. His frolics and stunts have often made headlines while his lifestyle choices have astounded us. And recently, Daly gave us another dose of laughter (and amazement!) as he showcased his skills to us.

Trump golf posted a video of the 5-time winner on the PGA Tour, chipping in a ball. They wrote, “LEGENDARY. Top favorite moment of #TrumpTouringPro Weekend — @pga_johndaly jarring it one handed at the @ricksmithgolf Celebrity Golf Clinic!”

Daly can be seen barefoot, with a drink in one hand a club in the other. He swings it down and the low ball finds the green and rolls towards home. And as the crowd cheers on and screams in disbelief, a roar confirms its sinking. And as usual, we’re left stunned.

Does John Daly drink and play golf?

The PGA Tour golfer is most often seen with a can in his hand and a cigarette in his mouth. And it seems like alcohol in his system produces his best game. Maybe the drink in his hand contributed to that beautiful chip. Surprisingly, though, he claims he has never drunk and played on tour, with one exception.

“I never had any alcohol on the golf course that I remember, except for one time, and that was the L.A. Open,” Daly says. “It was so slow and I played the back nine first. I think I’m 2 or 3 over. I went in the locker room and downed like five beers, and I think I shot 4 under on the front nine. That is the only time I know that I ever drank during a round, and I played great. I played great that week. I finished strong.”
