When Gary Player was an active player, He played a major role in revolutionizing golf and the PGA Tour. A part of the big three, along with Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus, Player is an unforgettable part of the golf world. What is equally commendable, is how he built his life even after retirement.

Together with his wife Vivienne, Player raised six children. Today, the 86-year has 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Their family has always stuck together, even after Vivienne passed away after losing a battle against cancer earlier this year.

Gary Player finally meets his great-granddaughter

Player, who is very active on social media, has previously shared photos of his great-grandson. The nine-time major winner often shares photos of his family, some old and some new. However, with the ongoing pandemic, Player has not been able to meet everyone as often as he would have liked.

In June, he posted a photo with his great-grandson while speaking of his great-granddaughter, who he is yet to meet. “My wife and I, because of covid, have still not had the chance to meet our great granddaughter,” he wrote. “It makes you realize how important time with your family is. I hope everyone gets the opportunity to create new memories with their loved ones this summer”.

Even though Vivienne is no longer with them, Player has finally met his great-granddaughter. His granddaughter who has her own successful health-related businesses, shared the clip online.

Player bends down to meet his grandchild, asking for a kiss as he meets her. Though she looks confused, Player and everyone present in the video are visibly happy. While Player is yet to share any video or photo of his own, we can probably expect one soon.

It goes without saying that anyone who watched the video was enamored and charmed, enjoying the cute interaction. “So sweet! What a great moment!” wrote one user on Instagram.
