Team USA has successfully overthrown the European dominance and has clinched the Ryder Cup on home soil. Along with the players, even the captains and the vice-captains have had a tremendous impact. Team USA skipper Steve Stricker got his decisions right along with his deputies, like Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, and others.

Moreover, this is the first time that Phil Mickelson hasn’t been a part of the plying team since his debut. However, he has provided this rookie team with all the knowledge and experience. Furthermore, on the final day of the event, a comical thing happened at the first tee. Let us have a look at what exactly happened?  

Fans demand Phil Mickelson to show his calves

On the final day of the 2020 Ryder Cup, Phil Mickelson was standing on the first tee waiting for the event to start. Meanwhile, Trent Barstool shared a video on Twitter where around 30 to 40 thousand fans can be heard shouting, “Show Those Calves! Show Those Calves!” Furthermore, his colleague rolled Phil’s pants up to fulfill the demand. 

We all know Phil Mickelson for his impeccable fitness, especially his bulked calf muscles. Moreover, earlier this year, he became the oldest player to win a major championship. Phil, at the age of 50, won the PGA Championship at Kiawah Island to pick up his 45th win on the PGA Tour. 

Meanwhile, the home team was absolutely dominant over the three-day event. Skipper Steve Stricker got all his combinations right, and it wonderfully benefitted the team.  However, Team Europe has been a complete disappointment, as apart from Rahm and Lowry, no other golfer has looked intimidating. 

Moreover, captain Padraig Harrington got a few of his pairings for the four-balls and foursomes wrong. Hence, on the final day, Team Europe could not fight back in the singles owing to a massive deficit gained during the first two days.
