Tony Finau is a well-known player on the PGA Tour. The golfer is currently playing in Detroit, where he was surprised by his wife. According to the PGA Tour’s tweet, Finau’s wife Alayna flew into Detroit especially to surprise him after his game on Sunday.

During her interview, Alayna disclosed how her husband makes his game special by giving a tribute to her and their kids.

 

Tony Finau’s wife reveals one of his remarkable gestures toward his family

Tony Finau was in Detroit, playing the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, while his wife decided to pay him a surprise visit. Alayna stated that she flew to Detroit to surprise her husband, Tony Finau. One unique thing that Finau’s fans noticed earlier, as well as recently, was how there were initials written on his golf balls.

When the reporter asked his wife about the initials, her answer raised a bar of respect for her husband among fans. She said“So, Tony switches out. He puts my initials and the kids’ initials on the ball. But if they’re not performing, then he’ll switch us out”

Alayna also talked about how she surprised her husband in Detroit. She said, “I just waited at his room, and then I kind of like hid” She added, “I set up a camera, and then when he walked in, then I just jumped out at him”.

Will Tony Finau join the LIV Tour?

Tony Finau is still playing on the PGA Tour. But so were a lot of players who recently accepted the high-paying deals by the LIV Golf Series. Finau still has to decide what he will do with his golf career. However, he admitted that he was approached by LIV Golf and hadn’t decided what to do yet.

He said to Golf Monthly“I mean, yeah, I’ve been approached just like I think most top guys, as you would expect,” He added, “I don’t have a stance on it yet… But I’m grateful to be on the PGA Tour, it’s been an honor for me… so much history there.”

The golfer has not given any other official statements about the matter yet. Time will be the judge of what Finau decides regarding his role in the Saudi-backed Tour.
