It started with him taking a risky tee shot at the 18th hole on Pebble Beach. But things got even riskier when Mickelson tried to walk on a steep slope in search for the golf ball. While looking for his ball, the golfer accidentally tripped over the slippery ground and fell hitting the floor on his behind.

He quickly got back up, wiped the dust off his pants, and started looking for the ball again. However, he could not find the ball and ended up hitting another shot into the ocean. After the game, Mickelson said, “I got lucky. I didn’t get hurt.”
Phil Mickelson once accidentally hit a fan with his golf ball
Mickelson has no limits when it comes to getting into mishaps. Another one took place when he was playing at the Country Club in Massachusetts. He was already in a bad mood because of his game. But things went from bad to worse when he accidentally shot his ball towards a spectator, who immediately fell flat on the ground.

It looked like the fan was hit on the face and was seen lying on his back, wondering what had just happened to him. Other fans rushed toward the seemingly injured spectator to check up on him. It was not long before Mickelson came forward to apologize and offer his hand to get the man back on his feet.
It was just another event that marked a mishap story for Mickelson. But it is nothing in comparison to his recent LIV Golf controversies. He is currently the most talked-about golfer because of his decision to join the new Saudi-backed league. However, he was later followed by many talented players on his journey with Greg Norman.
