The golf pro has been recently caught up with the headlines after he made a heartwarming gesture towards an infant during a recent tournament.

Jon Rahm’s heartwarming act toward a four-month-old kid

The Spaniard has been winning hearts with his kind gestures on and off the field. Fans are aware of his gentle soul and love him for his down-to-earth behavior with them. And adding to Rahm’s kind deeds, the golfer recently made an unexpected gesture when a couple requested him to sign their kid’s foot.

You read that right – Jon Rahm was asked to sign a child’s clubbed foot by his parents during the 2022 CJ Cup. The golfer himself was born with the same deformity and therefore is an inspiration to thousands going through the same. When the couple asked him to sign their kid’s clubbed foot, Rahm didn’t take a second and said, “Oh, where?” with a pen in his hand.

While signing the foot of the four-month-old baby, Rahm asked the parents if he had both his feet in the same condition. He even motivated them to believe that the kid would turn out to be just fine. After all, there was no better person to say that than the golfer himself. Rahm became a professional golfer despite his clubbed foot, and the couple found him inspiring for their kid. The child’s mother said, ”It’s nice to be able to know that like these professional athletes are born with that and that you can look up to them and it doesn’t stop you from being who you are”. The father also loved how Rahm told them that their kid would grow up to be normal and will be able to do everything like normal people.

How did Jon Rahm overcome his club foot condition?

Jon Rahm didn’t only overcome his deformity, but also made it to become the top-ranked golfer in the world. The player once disclosed that despite his fans’ contrary beliefs, he works out “every single day”. People are well aware of the unique swing that Rahm displays in every tournament he plays. But not all of them know that the golfer built that swing, especially so it fits his condition.

Rahm recalled his coach’s words and said, “They said, never ever change that wrist position, that’s part of your game, that’s part of who you are,”. The golfer had to go to the hospital every week to get recasted to make sure he could stand on his legs. But his dedication to the sport helped him become one of the best golfers that the world has today.
