The greatest of all time golfer, Tiger Woods serves as a host for the Hero World Challenge. It is a 20-player exhibition event where the host plays too; however, Woods will only host this year. The golfer took his Twitter handle and announced that he would not play due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot. “After consulting with my doctors and trainers, I have decided to withdraw this week and focus on my hosting duties,” said Woods on Twitter. But do not be sad, as the pro golfer has had significant years too, especially the 2018 Hero World Challenge.

Even though he will be playing ‘The Match’ and PNC Championship, the news was still saddening for the fans. Therefore, let’s take a walk in the past and remember the blast from the Hero World Challenge 2018. It saved the golfer from a penalty. In the event’s second round, the PGA golfer played his second shot from under a Sawgrass plant on the par-4 18th hole. However, the authorities decided not to give him a penalty. The duo will compete against Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida. ‘The Match’ is one of the most awaited events by all the fans. It started in 2018 when the former number-one golfer played against LIV player Phil Mickelson. But unfortunately, that was one of the most significant losses for Woods. However, hopes are high with high spirits. Only time will tell if the Hall of Fame golfer will win this year’s ‘The Match.’
