WATCH: Hilarious Footage of 7ft Giant Shaquille O’Neal Playing Golf With the Legendary Lee Trevino

Golf is a sport that is enjoyed by numerous people globally. It is not played by golf professionals alone. Among the other sports stars who love swinging the club is Shaquille O’Neal. Recently, a video of him playing with a golf legend went viral on the internet.

Shaq is probably the most outstanding NBA player of all time. The former basketball player played his first four seasons with Orlando Magic but in 1996 moved to the Lakers. Furthermore, he won the championships in 2000, 2001, and 2003. The NBA legend had a basketball career spanning over 19 long and illustrious years.

On the other hand, Lee is a six-time major championship winner. He won the US Open, the Open Championship, and the PGA Championship. Trevino won all of these events twice in his career.

The PGA Tour of Champions Instagram page recently uploaded a video of Shaq hitting the golf ball alongside golf legend Lee Trevino. Shaquille is hitting his driver in the video, and Lee gives him a couple of tips for the same.

In the funny video, Trevino is also seen messing around with the big guy. At the same time, Trevino gave 7ft tall Shaq some important tips for his golf swing. Lee said, “Don’t move your hips now, just move your arms up and around.”

After Lee says this, Shaq takes a shot backswing and hits behind the ball. As a result, the ball goes into the water.  Moreover, Lee is heard saying, “Beauty. The rings, the rings. You see that?  He further goes on to whisper to the camera, “That’s where it went, 20. He hit it 22 feet.”

If you look at Shaq’s golf swing, it is pretty incredible how he manages to produce all that power. The 50-year-old takes a short backswing and rotates his hips as fast as possible to generate a tremendous amount of energy and speed. It is truly incredible to see the immense power he develops in his golf swing.

When did Trevino win his last major championship?

Lee won his final and sixth major championship victory in 1984. He emphatically won the 1984 PGA Championship to add another major event title. Moreover, he won the event with an overall score of 15-under-par. As a result, Trevino won the event with a comfortable four-shot cushion after the final round. He carded a final round of three-under-par, 69 to cement his name on the top of the leaderboard.
