His wife even acknowledged Keegan’s lean streak and how practicing every day led to a victorious Sunday. “You’ve earned every single second of this. You’ve worked so hard. I’m so proud of you.” she said on the call, which made Bradley smile meekly.

What happened at the 2022 ZOZO Championship?

The championship endured a tense battle for a winner across the weekend. However, for large parts, American golfer, Rickie Fowler, seemed to have held his nerve to secure his first win of the season. However, remaining at heels with Fowler was 36-year-old Bradley, who leapt in the lead on the final day to claim the victory.

The win added to his list of titles that include the HP Byron Nelson Championship, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the BMW Championship, and the elusive 2011 PGA Championship Zozo Championship. Bradley won the major in his very first attempt, joining the likes of Francis Ouimet (1913) and Ben Curtis (2003) in the elusive list.

The performance also guaranteed a PGA Rookie of the Year award for Bradley in that year. It was also his first big first upgrade in rankings, as he moved from outside the top 100 to World No.29 in the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). The PGA Championship remains his only major title yet, but the victory in Japan will set himself perfectly for a chance in this year’s majors.
