WATCH: Latest LIV Golf Player Brooks Koepka Once Made a Bizarre Move Against a Fan

Brooks Koepka is one of the most well-known golfers in the world. The American Pro became World No. 1 in 2018 and occupied the position for 47 weeks. Koepka recently joined the LIV tour, resulting in the suspension of his PGA Tour license as per Jay Monahan’s statement.

Koepka has been involved in many arguments and fights with his fellow golfers as well as with fans. A similar thing happened in a recent match he played against John Rahm. The four-time major champion made an unexpected move in a sudden interaction with a fan.

Brooks Koepka loses his temper with a fan

Koepka played very well at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, but he was not ready to spoil his mood because of the fans. He defeated John Rahm, world no. 1 at the time, in the round of 16. Right after the win, a fan decided to come up to the golf star and ask“Brooks, what do you say to beating Rahm?”.

The fan unknowingly got too close to Koepka and it made him angry. Koepka got furious and unexpectedly snatched the fan’s phone. The video of the incident went viral on the internet.

Koepka could be heard yelling at the fan and saying, “get it out of my face, man!”. He held the fan’s phone for a moment and then his manager returned the phone to the fan. And that is not all that Koepka did at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play. He also reacted angrily at a few fans who were simply seeking an autograph from the golf legend.

Why did Koepka leave the PGA Tour?

“Just my opinion. My opinion changed,” Koepka stated after the media questioned him regarding his reason behind leaving the PGA Tour. He added, “I feel very comfortable with the decision that was made. I’m very happy and I did what was best for me.”. It is believed that Koepka received around 100 million dollars for joining the LIV Golf Invitational Series.

A lot of other players also recently left the PGA Tour and joined the high-paying LIV Golf Tour. Golf legends like Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson also became a part of the Saudi-backed league, leaving their PGA Tour days behind. With all of this commoton going on, it is uncertain what the future holds for the sport of golf.
