Clearly, setting records is nothing huge for the American professional. However, there was a time when Thompson had missed setting the bar high after missing an extremely close hole-in-one.

Thompson has made millions of fans by playing amazing golf in several tournaments. The world no. 7 is known for her precise shots on the field and her amazing strength while swinging the golf club. Things have been right in place for the golf star. However, there was a time when Thompson could not make the ball fall into place by less than an inch.

A video of the golfer from the 2021 QBE Shootout has resurfaced and has been going viral ever since. Thompson can be seen getting ready to hit the ball with all her might. And when she does, she shoots it right toward the hole. And her shot was so accurate that the ball nearly got inside the hole in a single stroke. But unfortunately, the golfer failed to hit a hole-in-one during the tournament. The ball can be seen bouncing back after hitting the flagstick.

Thompson and Korda are to be guest stars at the upcoming QBE Shootout

The world is ready to witness the 34th edition of the QBE Shootout beginning from December 7 to 11. The tournament will be played at the Shark Golf Club at The Ritz-Carlton Resort, Naples. And the main attraction of the event is going to be the two LPGA Tour stars, Nelly Korda and Lexi Thompson, heading the tournament.

This is going to be the first time that the tournament will not be featuring LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman. The golf legend has been an integral part of this event and was surprisingly asked to stay out of the entire participation process. The tournament will also be missing the defending champions, including Jason Kokrak and Kevin Na and it is so because the two are currently playing in the LIV Golf league. This will prove to be a chance for new players to come forward and claim the title for the tournament.
